A little Cherry Bombe history lesson. Back in 2013, in the bro-y dark ages, Hillary Dixler Canavan wrote a story for Eater about women being left out of food conferences around the world! Read it here, but don’t weep. Two weeks after reading this article, we decided to host our own conference and give women a way to make connections, build community, trade best practices, and bask in all that lady energy. Two hundred of you squeezed into the High Line Hotel ballroom to attend the very first Jubilee in March 2014, then just this past Sunday, we hosted our 15th in-person Jubilee, this time in Los Angeles. We had a blast, learned a ton, shed a few tears, enjoyed so much food & drink, and will be writing about it in the very near future. Our most immediate task, however, is telling you about our next Jubilee. We’d love to take a breather, but a) a lot of you asked when the next Jubilee is happening; b) the best conference venues book up fast, so we had to get a move on; c) lots of you ladies are planners and want to lock this in; and d) if we don’t do this now, we are competing with Taylor Swift for your attention, and that is never a good idea.
