The Bombesquad Bazaar Gift Guide
Our team's favorite items from some of the coolest female-founded food, drink, and lifestyle brands
Looking for some awesome female-founded brands to support? Of course you are! On Galentine’s Day, Cherry Bombe hosted its first-ever Bombesquad Bazaar at Shopify in SoHo to spotlight some of the coolest food, drink, and lifestyle brands around and welcomed our friends to stop by, shop, and explore. There were also talks, panels, and book signings with Cherry Bombe friends, including Padma Lakshmi, Peter Som, and Chloé Crane-Leroux. To keep the Galentine’s Day love going, we rounded up some of our team’s favorite items from the Bazaar in the Gift Guide below. Stay tuned for Part Two!
LE CROISSANT CLAW CLIP FROM MAMAN, $20
Lots of you love the baked goods and coffee drinks from Maman, the group of cafés co-founded by Elisa Marshall. But did you know they also have foodie fashion items like this croissant claw clip? Both Daisy and Rixey from Team Cherry Bombe picked up this patisserie-inspired piece and have already worn it to work multiple times.
CHOCOLATE SARDINES FROM BIXBY CHOCOLATE, $30 (3-pack)
This one is for all you tinned fish girls. These playful, chocolate-shaped sardines are one of the signature confections from Bixby Chocolate, the Maine-based brand founded by Kate McAleer. They are quite the catch!
PADMA’S ALL-AMERICAN BY PADMA LAKSHMI, $37.28
Padma Lakshmi joined us at the Bombesquad Bazaar for a talk about this gorgeous cookbook, which pulls from her celebrated series Taste the Nation. Padma explores what American cuisine really is and celebrates the Indigenous and immigrant recipes that have contributed to this country’s foodways.
BLANCO ENSEMBLE FROM CASA J TEQUILA, $129
Crafted using both new-world innovation and old-world tradition, this tequila honors founder Sofia Paloma Juárez’s Mexican-American heritage in every sip. We tasted it in a cocktail at the Bazaar called La Reina Rosa, featuring CASA J Tequila Blanco Ensemble, hibiscus syrup, fresh orange juice, and lime juice. Instantly elevate your at-home bar cart.
CHERRY BOMB PEPPER HOT SAUCE FROM MARSHALL’S HAUTE SAUCE, $15
Inspired by Cherry Bombe’s Jubilee conference, this sauce has a unique balance of bright, fruity sweetness that quickly gives way to a satisfying, subtle heat. Founder Sarah Marshall debuted the sauce at our Jubilee conference last year, and it’s become a pantry staple for the whole team.
THE ARTFUL WAY TO PLANT-BASED COOKING BY CHLOÉ CRANE-LEROUX & TRUDY CRANE, $32.62
These Cherry Bombe cover stars and mother-daughter duo collaborated on this collection of plant-based recipes, inspired by the simple beauty and delicious meals discovered on their travels. One recipe we can’t wait to try? The Crispy Honey Dijon Tofu Cutlets that Chloé raved about during the Galentine’s Day panel.
SIGNATURE GRANOLA FROM AMBER WAVES FARM, $25
This granola from Amber Waves Farms is made with oats grown on their farm in Amagansett, NY. It also has raisins, sunflower seeds, coconut, and pepitas. Every crunchy bite supports their mission of sustainable agriculture and hands-on food education.
PIRI PIRI SEASONING FROM SAFFRON AND SANDS BY SUZI, $9.99
Piri Piri is having a moment from Executive Chef India Doris’ popular Piri Piri chicken dish at Markette to Saffron And Sands by Suzi's seasoning blend. It adds a citrusy flavor and spice, thanks to African Birdseye Pepper. Bring on the heat!
THE FAVORITE SISTER CANVAS CLUTCH FROM THE TINY TASSEL, $68
Sister, sister! This cute clutch is from The Tiny Tassel in Charleston, SC. Founded by Mimi Striplin, the boutique is known for its fun earrings, necklaces, and apparel.
EVERYONE HOT POT BY NATASHA PICKOWICZ, $27.96
The pastry chef and Cherry Bombe cover star stopped by the Bombesquad Bazaar to talk about her new savory cookbook, which focuses on hot pot, the communal meal that Natasha grew up with. With this book, Natasha makes a tasty case that the cozy tradition is best enjoyed at home.
LIVENER NON-ALCOHOLIC BOTANICAL ELIXIR FROM THREE SPIRIT, $39
Three Spirit, founded by Meeta Gournay, Dash Lilley, and Tatiana Mercer, creates non-alcoholic functional elixirs. We sampled their Livener blend made with juicy watermelon, tropical guava, fresh ginger, and a subtle kick of heat. It also has naturally energizing guayusa and adaptogenic berries that got us through the two days of our pop-up.
MINI LE PLEIN FROM VENUS ET FLEUR, $139
We are huge flower fans here at Cherry Bombe, so we loved looking at Venus et Fleur’s arrangements at the Bombesquad Bazaar. Founded by Seema Bansal Chadha and Sunny Chadha, these roses are designed to last for months with no watering required. It’s not magic, it’s a special dehydration process. Everything’s coming up roses.
DUBLINER CHEESE FROM KERRYGOLD
It’s not a Cherry Bombe party without Kerrygold! The night before our Bombesquad Bazaar, we held a launch party to celebrate our new issue, and we had a Kerrygold charcuterie board with their Dubliner cheese. It blends the sharpness of cheddar, the nuttiness of Swiss, and the savory bite of Parmesan. We were saying “cheese” all evening long.
FAMILY STYLE BY PETER SOM, $37.28
Peter joined us for our “Boys We Love” panel at the Bazaar and shared his journey from fashion designer to first-time cookbook author. His cookbook is inspired by his Chinese-American heritage and his Bay Area upbringing. We love your style, Peter!
CHERRY BOMBE MOM’S THE BOMBE ISSUE, $25
Our new issue honors motherhood in all its forms. Our covers feature three NYC-based culinary creatives who all share a special bond with their moms: Samah and Shermeen Dada; Chloé Crane-Leroux and Trudy Crane; and Romilly Newman and Antonia Dauphin. Pick your favorite cover and read the thoughtful essays, features, and beautiful recipes.
